Hi Piegirl! My logs showed referrals from your blog which is how I found you! I've realized that many bloggers are in pretty much the same boat as you. And, it's no secret either so I decided to create a blog that details stuff like this. It's called Visible Blog, if you're interested. I've only just started writing it so there are only 2 posts as yet!

I haven't created a link from my blog to yours as yet. Where did you see that link?

Manisha, thanks for enlightening me on the tracking software. Traffic to my blog isn't significant enough for me to be interested in tracking, but it's good to know there's something like that I can use.

Right at the bottom of your Spicy Jeera Chicken recipe post is a section, "Links to this post:" and a link to my blog post. That was the link I was referring to.

Piegirl, I'm sorry I missed seeing that link!

Blogger does that automatically. It's blogger's way of showing which other blog posts link to your blog post. You can enable that by signing into your Dashboard, and under Settings, select Comments and then enable Backlinks by clicking 'Show'. Also set Backlinks for New Pots to 'New Posts have Backlinks'. Don't forget to 'Save Settings' to save these preferences.

This is a great way of telling your readers what other blogs are saying about yours. It's also another way of saying 'thank you' for linking to my blog - you get a link right back!

Manisha, thanks again! I'm learning a lot from you about blogging. I just changed my backlink settings. I don't expect a lot of traffic to my blog. It'll be interesting to see what happens :)
